Scott Duran

Chief Operating Officer

Energetic and results-oriented, Scott Duran is our Chief Operating Officer and works directly with the IES President, members of the Board of Directors, sales and marketing teams, and all other operating units within the Company to support the Company’s growth mission. He is an accomplished leader with a solid internal controls background in audits of large public companies – principally in the energy, professional services, health care, and insurance industries. Scott also serves as Secretary of the IES Board of Directors.

Early in his career, Scott spent 20 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), of which the last 10 years he served as Finance/Operations Partner and Controller of the U.S. firm. Scott has a robust background in all controllership functions, treasury management, merger integration, systems integration and conversion, business process redesign and implementation, and business acquisitions and divestitures. In addition to operational, financial, and administrative managerial duties, Scott oversees the development of the Company’s marketing and collateral materials and coordinates formal client presentations. His favorite part about working for IES is being part of a highly-skilled, focused team, all working in concert to achieve a common goal in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Scott is also experienced in directing the operational, finance, and administrative functions in multiple small-to-medium-sized businesses concurrently. He works directly with owners to make their businesses more efficient, as well as assist them as they grow and diversify operations into multiple business ventures and additional investments.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and was a proud member of the University of Texas Longhorn Band, serving in a leadership position as its Drum Major. Outside of work, he serves on the Finance Committee of the Academy of the Sacred Heart / Berchman’s Schools in Grand Coteau, Louisiana.
