Sales and Market Development

Melinda is a sales and business development leader with a history of directing sales activities to drive maximum revenue growth for organizations in highly competitive industries, including international logistics, oil and gas, engineering, manufacturing, production, and client services. 

She has 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, focusing on upstream and midstream services. Melinda has onboarded, trained, and empowered teams of sales and operational professionals to exceed their performance benchmarks while serving as a front-line and knowledgeable leader, disseminating sales best practices and defining/communicating our sales objectives and key performance indicators. She has built sales portfolios, networked, and delivered compelling value propositions/marketing presentations that engaged diverse audiences, overcame objections, negotiated favorable pricing, and won new business while improving our client retention rates.

As an integral part of the team, Melinda will expand IES to the midstream sector.  She has many certifications within the oil and gas industry and related fields. Those include Shell EP Americas, PEC Safeland-Safegulf, TWIC, and hazardous material and H2S certifications. 

Melinda is a native Houstonian and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and her master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas.  Outside of work, Melinda enjoys hiking, paleontology, horseback riding, and spending time with her family. As an Army veteran and animal lover, she supports K9s for warriors and her local SPCA.
